With love and sorrow we announce the passing of Linda Gaye Strachan early in the morning of August 10, 2012. After what was a very short fight against cancer, she is in no pain.
She is survived by her mom Iona Marriott, her brother Larry Strachan, her partner Doug Groseclose, her children Clinton (Candace) and Renee Armstrong, her grandchildren Jackson, Kayla and Austin, family, friends and her amazing Special Olympic athletes.
Linda had a way of making everything around her good. Positive, even if there was nothing to be positive about. Linda found the good in people, even if no one else did. The world will be a little lesser now that she is no longer with us. We will miss you Linda. We know you will be looking out for all of us, even in your rest.
We will be celebrating her life on September 9, 2012 at 2:00p.m. at the Rotary Beach Park. In lieu of flowers, please make your donations to the Special Olympics, PO Box 877, Campbell River, B.C. V9W 4P7.
