1927 – 2015
Lillian Irene Mattson Armstrong Carter passed away peacefully in Cumberland Lodge, Cumberland, BC on April 8, 2015 just after her 88th Birthday. Lillian is survived by her children; David (Judy) Armstrong of Abbotsford, BC, Lorne (Liz) Armstrong of Mission, BC, Irene (Bob) Austin of Lumby, BC, Judy (Oliver) Sholes of Black Creek, BC, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Lillian was born March 16th, 1927 in Cabri, Saskatchewan to Eric and Alma Mattson, and predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters; Edna, Mable, May, Helen, Norman, Morris, Raymond and Kenneth, and her husband (the love of her life, and father of all four of her children), Gordon George Armstrong, in 1971. Lillian remarried in 1974 to Marmaduke Carter, who passed away in 1994.
Private cremation arrangements. Private family gathering will be held at a later date.
