Lena Hubick passed away at the Campbell River Hospital on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at the age of 85 years. Lena was predeceased by her husband; Peter Edward Hubick and son; Leonard C. Hubick.
Lena is survived by her son; Arnold (Pat) of Edmonton Alberta, three daughters; Lewella Keller (Dale) of Regina, Sask., Lenora Wirth (Cliff) of Regina, Sask., and Myrna Bishop (Roy) of Campbell River, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mom loved the simple things in life, wild flowers, camping, and toasting marshmallows over an open fire. She was a strong woman because in spite of all the pain she endured she would still smile and even laugh at herself. It was a privilege to know her and a blessing to have her for a mom and friend.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at the MEMORIAL CHAPEL OF ELK FALLS CREMATORIUM, HIGHWAY #28, AT ELK FALLS MEMORIAL CEMETERY on Friday, February 6th, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Elk Falls Memorial Cemetery.
