Born September 5, 1924 to February 18, 2006. Survived by her loving and devoted husband Earl, much loved children, Shannon, Collin and Joy, beloved grandchildren Sarah, Cody, Charlotte and Jessica. Laurie was born to Arta and Jim in Prince George, BC, one of six children, Joyce, Vera, Dean, Roy and Phil.. Goligo especially loved all her nieces, nephews. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Laurie lived in Crooked River, Saskatoon, Prince George, Campbell River and for the last 32 years in Victoria. Mom had many friends old and young. She loved bridge, crafts, gardening, picnics, fun, jokes and adventures with Earl. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice for their extraordinary care and love shown to mom by all the staff and volunteers. A special thank you to Gino, Josie, Andrea, her niece Dianna , and other caring friends. Mom fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. During her stay at hospice she made new friends, played bridge, enjoyed her bubble baths. Even up to the end she maintained her ability to joke, laugh and tell stories. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday March 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm at First Memorial Funeral Services 4725 Falaise Drive.
