Larry (1939-2003)


of Campbell River passed away peacefully at his home on June 25, 2003 at the age of 64 years. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Gordie Triple, his first wife Rita, his son-in-law Blair Ross and his sister Bonnie. Larry is survived by his beloved companion Hella Nichols, his sons; Charlie (Teresa), Kenny, Ricky and Robbie Bryla, his daughters; Kathy Barton, Karyn Ross and Christie Miller, numberous grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his brother Brian Bryla of Squamish, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles as well as his closest friends Kevin and Sharon Rondquist and family, Colin and Alex Stokes, Jim and Linda McVeay and Rudy and Sandy. Larry was involved in logging and fishing for almost 50 years, had his masters certificate in marine navigation and captained several boats as well as owning his own boat. He enjoyed sports cars, reading and music and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Many thanks to Dr. Kroeze and Dr. Minnaar, all the home care nurses and hospital staff at Campbell River Hospital and Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. A Celebration of Larry’s life will take place at the Elk’s Hall, 516 Dogwood, Campbell River on Sunday, July 6th, 2003 from 1-4 p.m. Donations in Larry’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
