It is with profound sorrow we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Lance Eckford on July 20th, 2015 from a motor vehicle accident.
Born December 5th, 1990, Lance was a natural born redneck with a passion for driving, logging and anything outdoors. His passion grew from an early fascination of anything mechanical, seasoned with a dash of mischief and adventure.
He spoke his mind and always had a smile on his face; and with his incredible sense of humour always kept a smile on yours. He could never resist “poking the bear” and had a cheeky way of teasing people.
Family was very important to Lance and he carried on his family legacy by becoming a logging truck driver; following in the footsteps of his dad and uncle. He was currently working for Wahkash; a job he loved.
Lance was generous, kind hearted and an old soul, he had many friends; an active vibrant young man. We are devastated that he left us so suddenly. He is survived by his parents Phil and Linda, his brothers Brian and Wayne, his sister Kristi and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, his nephew and friends.
All are invited to Lance’s Memorial Service at Sequoia Springs Golf Course, 700 Petersen Rd on Sunday, July 26th, 2015 at 2pm.
