Kyle Jason Porter, 34, of Campbell River, B.C., passed away peacefully on April 6, 2015. He was born in Sarnia, Ont. on November 11, 1980.

Kyle loved his family and friends. And life.

Kyle's steadfast refusal to accept any limitations on what he could accomplish, his undiminished optimism, and his positive contribution to his family, friends and community will continue to provide inspiration to many as we reflect upon, and celebrate, his life.

Kyle is survived by his wife, Lena; his parents, Gary and Freda Porter; his sister, Kelley Packalen, and her husband, Mikko; his twin brother, Grant, and his wife, Christine Mok; his grandmother, Jopie Zylstra; his aunt, Marilyn Smith and her husband, Douglas; his aunt, Janet Leonhart and her husband Richard; his uncle, Derrick Zylstra; his father-in-law, Herb Hanson, and his wife, Maxine; his sister-in-law, Sarah and her husband, Dustin; his step-brothers, Skyler and Matthew Meyers; and many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, his family is requesting donations be made out to his loving congregation at Gateway Foursquare Church (403 - 5th Ave., Campbell River, 250-287-8133)

A memorial service will be at Gateway Foursquare Church, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11 a.m., with a light lunch to follow.
