JAGER,

Ko (Aafko)

September 6, 1925-

December 4, 2007

Born in Arnheim, Holland, he immigrated to Canada in 1953, where he was joined by Addie later in the year. They married in Cranbrook and then settled in Victoria, BC. Then followed the move to Campbell River, where they began their family.

Over the years Ko owned a jewelry store, worked at Elk Falls Mill, and then as a custodian for School District 72. He loved his clock repair. His spare time would find him in his little workshop busy with the clocks.

He and Addie loved their dogs, cats and family. They enjoyed walks on stormy day beaches, and family outings. Nothing pleased Ko more than a friend or family member over for a chat, game of chess or cards and a good cup of coffee. He spent his last four years in Kelowna, and now he has returned to Addie’s side in Heaven.

He is loved and missed by his sons Martin (Sheila), George (Trish), Rick (Debbie), Harold, daughter Marianne Wong (Caleb), sisters Wya Olenchuck of Kelowna, Yopi Taylor (Alec), grandchildren Matthew, Christopher, Levon, Vanessa, Joshua, Robson, Dakota and Kimi, with many long time family friends.

A celebration of Ko’s life will be held on December 22nd, from 1-3pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Simms Road, Campbell River.

No flowers at the family’s request. Donations to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation in Ko’s name appreciated.
