Kenneth L. ATTFIELD

January 31, 2007

ATTFIELD,

Kenneth L.

Sept. 2, 1929 - Jan. 31, 2007

After a courageous battle with cancer, Ken passed away peacefully in the Campbell River Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Ken was born to Sid and Ilene (McKay) Attfield in Lestock, Saskatchewan.

Ken came to BC as a young man and worked for over 30 years at Macmillan Bloedel, Menzies Bay Division, as a faller.

Ken was an outdoor man - he loved hunting, fishing and camping. In later years he enjoyed his greenhouse and his flower gardens. He was an avid gardener and always had beautiful flowers blooming in his yard year round.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers - Alfred, Hughie and Cecil; and his sister Audrey McKay. Also by his grandson Michael Attfield.

He is survived by his 5 children - Sidney (Donna), Margaret (Brian), Dwayne (Ann), Christine (Roger) and Allan; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Lenard (Lorna) and sisters Cela (Harold) and Muriel Sloat.

Thank you to home care for your support and also the palliative care nurses at the hospital. A special thank you to Ruby Attfield. You were wonderful and we are so grateful for your kindness.

We invite family and friends to join us for a Celebration of Ken’s Life on February 17th from 12-4 p.m. at 481 Dogwood Street.
