Kenneth Ian Morrison, P. Eng. passed away January 19, 2018 in Campbell River BC. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Sheilagh, sons Kim and Larry, brother Terry Morrison, grand daughters Melanie and Shannon and cousins on the prairies. His first wife, Jean (McCrory) died in 1982 of cancer.

He will also be missed by Sheilagh's family and his wonderful family of caregivers at Evergreen Seniors Home.

Ian was born in Grande Prairie Alberta, grew up in the DeBolt area and graduated from the University of Alberta, B.Sc. in Civil Engineering in 1955.  He worked on the DEW Line and then moved to BC to work for Ripley & Associates.  He has been a member of APEG of BC since 1959 and loved his work involving industrial plant foundations and soils engineering throughout BC and internationally.  He retired from Klohn Crippen Consultants as senior geotechnical consultant in 1998, with some work continuing until 2002.

Ian married Jean McCrory in Nanaimo in 1957.  They lived in Vancouver and then Deep Cove.  Ian and his family enjoyed fishing in Northern BC and Alberta and trailer trips back to Grande Prairie to visit family.

He was very interested in computers, technology and photography.  Ian married Sheilagh McKenzie in 1991. They lived in South Surrey until 2010 when they moved to Campbell River.
