After a courageous battle with cancer Ken passed away at the Campbell River Hospital.


Ken is survived by his dedicated loving wife Jennie and their children George (Sandra), Kenneth (Lexcee) and Mary (Callum) MacKay. His grandson Kelly (Campbell River) and step-grandson Josh (Ontario). Sister Joyce Hebert (Alberta). Also many nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends.


Ken was the Adult Care bus driver, and the manager and treasurer of the WPSLS. Over the years Ken also worked at Campbell River Court House as Justice of the Peace and court clerk, RCMP Aux. Officer (Campbell River), Moore Whittington (Campbell River), taxi driver (Campbell River), Dorchester Penitentiary (New Brunswick), Western Mines (British Columbia), Royal Canadian Air Force (Quebec).


He also donated many hours to the WPSLS, Prov Emerg Prog (SAR), Navy League of Canada, and the North Island Music Therapy.


Ken will be greatly missed by all of us in our community. Ken has touched a lot of us in many different ways.


A Tea will be held in Ken’s honor on Saturday, July 27th, @ 10am-2pm @ #12-142 Larwood, Adult Care/Altrusa House. Everyone welcome.
