July 12, 1932 - June 24, 2020
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our loving father Ken Taylor on June 24, 2020 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Born in Saskatoon, Ken moved to beautiful B.C (Courtenay), then, along with his daughter and 2 sons, to Campbell River in 1965.
It was here in Campbell River Ken met and married Silke along with her 3 sons. Sadly, after 47 years of a wonderful marriage, Silke passed on August 17, 2019; also after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Retiring after 35+ years at the mill, Ken and Silke spent many a winter in Arizona. Ken was an avid camper/and fisherman as well as enjoying many Saturdays hunting for treasures at garage sales. Ken also enjoyed an afternoon at the Casino where more times than not he came home ahead of the game.
Ken is survived by his daughter Debra (Hal) son Doug, step sons Peter (Marla) Uwe (Tracy), daughters in law Nancy and Sheryl along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ken is predeceased by his loving wife Silke, his son Kenneth Matthew Taylor and step son Hans Hopf, as well as his parents.
Dad, you have no idea how much we miss you, however we are sure you and Silke are happily together again.
The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses who supported Dad and the family through a very tough time.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the charity of your chose would be appreciated.
