It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kenneth Derek Grayson Spencer. Ken passed away peacefully May 18th, 2021 in the Campbell River Hospital.
Ken is predeceased by his loving wife Eileen Louise Spencer and survived by his children Kent (Grace) Spencer, and Tamara (Norm) Walker, as well as by his grandchildren Reyna Spencer, Hannah Spencer, Kianna Spencer, Brighton Lowood, Grayson (Destiny) Lowood, and Kinsey Lowood.
Ken was born on August 30th, 1929 in Heston, England. Ken served in the Tank Core under the rank of Captain in the British Army in the Middle-East.
When he moved to Canada he served in the Canadian Scottish Regiment, Princess Mary's. Ken then worked for British Columbia Forest Products until his retirement in 1987. Ken was a loyal and loving friend to many and made a positive impact on the community. He had a love for the water and boating as well as a soft spot for animals.
Ken will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers Ken's family would appreciate a donation be made to any animal rescue charity of your choice on Ken's behalf.
