With a profound sense of loss, we announce the sudden death on Sunday, October 7, 2012, of KATHLEEN (Katie) ISOBEL ECCLES (nee Elders), born in Toronto, Ontario on June 17, 1924, just 5 months after she lost her husband of 46 years: GEORGE ALBERT ECCLES (who died on May 2, 2012).
Katie was well loved by everyone who met her. Her first husband, Ted Butcher died a young man in 1962 leaving her a widow with three young children to raise. Katie married George Eccles in 1967 and together they had a son, Bill and it was a loving “blended” family.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Susan Simpson (Butcher) and her 3 sons, Raymond Butcher, Jim Butcher and Bill Eccles.
There will be a GATHERING OF FRIENDS on Thursday, October 18 at Oyster Bay Resort. Please stop by between 2 - 4:30. Light refreshments will be served.
