Born January 23, 1936 in Toronto, ON to Alfred and Ethel Morrison and passed away peacefully on October 14, 2007, with her loving husband by her side in Campbell River Hospital.

Among her many projects as an architect, she worked on the design and construction of the Canadian Embassy in Moscow during the Cold War period, and other Canadian embassies in Mexico and Africa.

Karen is survived by her husband Wally; sisters Brenda of White Rock and Suzanne of Toronto. Her son Charlie, predeceased her in July.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be held 2:00pm-4:00pm, Sunday, October 21st, 2007 at 691 Alder Street, Campbell River (corner house, 7th and Alder). In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The First Open Heart Society of B.C., 2205 Shakespeare St., Victoria, BC, V8R 1W2.
