Karen Louise Parker, age 54, passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2019 in the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. Karen was born on September 20th, 1965 in the Campbell River Hospital. She grew up on and spent much of her life on Stuart Island where she worked with her parents at Brimacombe's Resort. When she wasn't helping to run the resort, Karen was out mooching in the overfalls at sixteen years old; she could out-fish almost any guide. From the Mt. Washington Ski Club, to her co-workers at Toyota and to all the "strays" that the family brought home, Karen surrounded each of them with love, a warm home and enough food to feed an army. She was a beautiful soul with a huge heart and her absence in all of our lives will be unmeasurable. Karen was predeceased by both her parents, Terry and Lou Brimacombe. She continues to live on through her husband, Wally Parker, her daughters, Teri Jean and Jessica Parker, her siblings: Rick Brimacombe and Sandy Bellosillo, and numerous family and friends who loved her dearly.
