Passed away in Campbell River, BC on Saturday, December 30th, 2006. She was predeceased by her mother Jessie and brother Peter.
Karen is survived by her loving husband Ken, son Einar Hanson, daughter Erika-Leigh Haley (Reg), and nieces Shari, Cindy, Stephanie and Joelle, sister in-law Michelle (Mike).
She was a member of Paddlers Abreast, and loved fishing, camping, prospecting and working as a guide in the Yukon. Karen was an incredible mother, a hospitable, kind and compassionate person with a real zest for adventure in her life. She is deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her family and all those who knew her.
A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held at St. Peters Anglican Church, 228 South Dogwood Street, Campbell River, on Saturday, January 6th, 2007 at 11:00am.
