Julian "Rocky"

Passed away May 25, 2008 in Calgary. Rocky was born in Belgium Oct. 14, 1922, and immigrated to Canada at a very young age with parents.

Survived by his wife Loreen, Son George, daughter Leanne, sister Simone, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Also by his extended family: Penny (Jerry), Donna (Dave), Gail (Dan) and families.

At the onset of WWII he joined the Navy and spent time overseas on Motor torpedo boats in the English Channel. At the end of the war he returned to Canada and helped to form the Navy's first deep sea diving Unit. During the Korean war he was once again called overseas where he spent eighteen months. Upon his return to Canada he returned to The Navy diving unit where he stayed until his retirement in 1966. He then joined Parks Canada where he spent the last twenty five years of his careers as a Parks Ranger on Northern Vancouver Island.
