It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joyce Kohuch announces her passing.
Joyce was an easy-going, caring person who loved her life, family, friends, and pets.
Joyce worked as a teacher's aide in the Campbell River School District in the '80s and '90s and particularly enjoyed working with the students and staff of Robron in the last years before her retirement. Many students enjoyed the kind, patient manner she displayed while helping them with their work.
Joyce loved dancing, camping, golfing, arts & crafts, gardening, and family visits. Her dill pickles were the absolute best! She contentedly spent her retirement years with her husband Cecil, on their small acreage in Black Creek and enjoyed watching the comings and goings of the ducks on their pond according to the seasons.
Joyce leaves behind her husband Cecil; son Darcey; daughter-in-law Michelle; grandchildren Dylan (Marcela), Kristen (Amir), Vanessa (Daniel), and Grace; great-grandchildren Callie and Zane, and her sister Carol. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, cousins, and her treasured friends. She was predeceased by her parents William and Florence; daughter Darla, and her sister Elva.
