Josie passed away in the Campbell River Hospital on July 12, 2014 at the age of 81 years.
Josie was predeceased by her husband Andrew, as well as her parents Joseph and Barbara Halitski. She also is predeceased by three of her sisters, Myrtle Zelinski, Helen Skolney and Irene Blunt.
Josie will be dearly missed by her two daughters Orla (Robin) Bremmer and Melinda (Lloyd) Carter. She will also be missed by her sister Angela Yasinowski of Saskatoon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Josie had three other “Children of her Heart,” Michael, Brad and Lindsey, whom will also miss her.
“God Saw You Getting Tired”
God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you
And whispered, “Come With me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you, slowly fade away,
Although we loved dearly, we would not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Jensen, Dr. Coetzee and the nurses of 3 North Campbell River Hospital, for their great care for Mom in her last days.
At Josie’s request there is no service. Donations in Josie’s memory may be made to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
