1961 – 2016
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Eric, on May 20, 2016.
Eric will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind his loving wife of 33 years, Teri, two sons, Jason (Jenn) Matthew (Lindsay) and his loving parents Clara and Gaston (Louie) Cyr, parents in law, Bill and Diane Nelson, brother and sister inlaw, Billy and Phyllis, and two nephews, Jayme and Brett, along with a multitude of friends that will miss him so.
Eric was born in Baden, Baden, Germany – the son of a military fire chief. His family was posted in many different locations before they settled in Comox, B.C.
Eric graduated from Vanier Secondary school, attended University, then started his career working at Elk Falls Mill for many, many years.
The family would like to thank the fire department, emergency response team, as well as all the physicians and nurses at Campbell River hospital, particularly E.R. Nurse Jill.
Please join us to celebrate Eric’s life on Friday, May 27th at 2 pm- Eagles Hall Campbell River.
In lieu of flowers a much needed donation of blood to the Red Cross would be greatly appreciated.
