Joseph Barnes “Billy” William

May 18, 1951 – February 27, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William (Billy) Joseph Barnes, 67, who died Wednesday, February 27, 2019 after a short but painful battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judith Louise Barnes. His daughters Aileen (Mark), and Shawna, grandchildren Connor, Abigail, Sophia, and Noah. His sisters Marie, Cathy, and Lesa, and brother Les. Bill will also be missed by so many family and friends.

Bill was born and raised in Ocean Falls, BC which is where he met the love of his life, Judy. They moved to Prince George in 1973 where they got married on September 1, 1974. In 1974, they moved to Campbell River to start a family. Bill worked as a cement truck driver for Upland Ready Mix for 38 years, meeting some of his closest, life long friends. He had a passion for motorbikes which he shared with his wife. They loved to ride their bikes, travel and explore

many new places (and maybe a casino here or there).

Bill had a larger than life personality, the life of the party, and a laugh that filled any room. He always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. His presence will be missed every moment of every day. Until we meet again, we love you.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 30 from 1-4 pm at 2145 Joanne Drive, Campbell River, BC. Everyone is welcome to come and reminisce, share stories, and laugh while we remember a wonderful man who made a mark on so many lives.
