GREAVES, JOSEPH ALOYISIOUS

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Greaves, beloved Father, son, brother & Grandfather.
Joe was born in Cobden, Ont. 10 years later his family moved to Terrace, most of his childhood and teen years were spent there. At 21 he moved to Union Bay, and made his living fishing. Within the next few years, he met his future wife and her son, had a daughter and moved to Campbell River in 1983, then a son came in 1985. Joe resided in Campbell River until his passing.
Joe was an avid fisherman & hunter. He loved to laugh and always found ways to make others laugh too. He had many friends of all walks of life, he was never one to judge. He just loved people. He was never one to turn down a person in need, even if just for a hug and a smile.
Joe is predeceased by his wife, Katherine Greaves and his father Joseph Greaves, survived by his mother Florence Greaves, son Josie Evenson, daughter Desiree Greaves (Tyler Northrup), son Joseph (Travis) Greaves, Grandchildren Katie & Keenan. Many brothers & sisters, nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews. Who will always remember his infectious laugh, heart warming smile, his mischievous and kind eyes.
A Celebration of Joe's life will be held on Saturday, May 8th at Ocean Crest Salvation Army Church 291 McLean at 11:45 am. Casual attire requested. Everyone is invited to join in the Celebration. In lieu of flowers we would love to have a memorial bench at the beach so all donations will be accepted for that.
