Jorma “Big George”
Jorma passed away peacefully on Sunday May 20th, 2007 at the age of 70.
He is survived by his wife Helena Koehmainen, his brother Hannu Kolehmainen and Pirko, sister Kaija and Kalevi and family. Nephew Mika (Sanna), Niece Kirsi and sister-in-law Raili, and brother-in-law Simo Forsman and family.
He is predeceased by his brother Erkki Kolehmainen, and his first wife Lisa Kolehmainen.
Jorma first came to Canada when he was 19 years old and lived in Ontario working in the mines. Later he moved to BC to work. Before retiring, he worked at Westmin for 27 years.
Jorma loved life to the fullest; he loved to go fishing, hunting and loved most of all, having friends and family visit.
Funeral Services to be held Saturday, May 26th, 2007 at 11:00 am at Sutton’s Campbell River Funeral Home, 502 South Dogwood Street, Campbell River, BC Graveside service to follow. Reception at Kolehmainen's after the interment.
