In Loving Memory ~
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved brother, cousin, uncle and friend John Meredith Lloyd-Walters on July 17, 2022. John was born August 21, 1955 in Campbell River to parents Jack and Jan-del Lloyd-Walters.
John spent his early years and most of his adult life in the Stories Beach area. It was a place he loved and where he would eventually build his home. As a young boy he spent many hours swimming, hanging out on the beach with friends and family.
In later years time on the beach included hours playing with his beautiful Labrador Tanner.
He started work in the woods as a young man and spent his entire working career as a logger till ill health forced him into early retirement. John was a hard and dedicated worker.
John loved to travel spending time in Hawaii and Mexico with extended family. His many nieces and nephews will remember him as the Fun uncle, always willing to engage, share a laugh and some shenanigans.
Although he never had children of his own he loved all the babies that joined his extended family. He happily spent time making each one squeal in delight at his loving attention and silly, over the top voices.
Twenty-two years ago he met and married his wife Lisa, the two of them would eventually head south to the warmth of Nevada. It was there he spent his final years and days.
John was a kind man and though he faced some struggles he was quick to laugh and always up for adventure.
John is survived by his wife Lisa of Nevada, his four siblings, brother Craig (Adel), sisters Janis Quinn (Lyle), Gale-Ann Maier (Aaron) and Georgie Lloyd-Walters (Ron), brother-in-law Wayne Smith, his many loving cousins, nieces and nephews all of whom are missing and remembering this gentle man.
A family gathering at Stories Beach will take place in the future where he will be remembered with stories, shared memories, and much love.
Rest easy my brother you are dearly missed and will be remembered with love and a smile always.
