March 12, 1946 - March 28, 2019
It is with great sadness and sorrow we announce his passing on March 28, 2019 at seventy three years of age.
John was born in Abbotsford, BC on March 12, 1946. He was a fun loving brother and even had the police stop him at age six for driving a tractor on the road pulling a loaded hay wagon. The police just smiled. He worked for many years as a logger and later on in life became the most sought after landscaper.
Predeceased by his parents John and Helen Letkeman and sisters Linda and Helen. Left to mourn are his loving and devoted wife, Carol, his sisters Katie (Henry), Agnes (Bill), Elsie (Henry), and Margie (Bill), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Dr. Prinsloo, Dr. Waterman, and Dr. Morrison plus the Care Team at the Campbell River Hospital and Community Care Nursing Services who cared for him in his final weeks.
As per John's request, there will be no formal service. His cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held later in Abbotsford.
