John (Jack) Allen Buchanan Jack's family sadly announces he passed away in Surrey BC where he had resided for the past few years.
Jack was predeceased by his parents John and Winnifred, his wife Margaret and son Vincent. Survived by his children Laurie, John and Roxanna. wife, April her children Cole and Tim. Many grandchildren, several great grandchildren. His sisters Ann, (Chuck) Linda (Conrad) Brother Jim ( Nadine) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was born and raised in Cumberland BC Jack was a manager of the Willow Point and Port Hardy Credit Unions. Jack worked at Elk Falls Pulp and Paper Mill for many years, where he retired with many friends. Was an original member of Campbell River # 2 Fire Hall and a member of Port Hardy and Oyster River Fire Dept's,. Enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching hockey and playing crib.
A service to be held at a future date and time. In lieu of flowers a donation to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
