Jopie Taylor, beloved wife of Alex William Taylor of 65 years, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on February 15, 2012, at 87 years. She was predeceased by her son Gerry, her brother Ko, and her sister Wyja. Left to mourn are son Frank Taylor, daughters Judith Taylor, Susan (Robin) Mallard, grandchildren Cindy (Dave) Denisoff, Todd Frank, Colin Bonsma, Erin Bonsma, Stephen (Tanya) Mambretti, Patrick Mambretti, Naomi (J.D.) Des Biens, Ben Taylor, great grandchildren Kelsey, Jordan, Riley, Cynthia, Alyssa, Madeliene. Jopie was an active member of Campbell River Baptist Church; a loving Sunday School teacher; a radiant member of the choir. She held her commercial fishing license for many years, and used to out fish most of the local guides. She was an ardent fisherwoman, an avid gardener, an amazing knitter, an awesome Pekingese lover, and an active traveller. Jopie was a caring, outgoing, friendly, person who loved her family, loved her waterfront home and garden setting, loved to visit with her friends, and loved her church family and her Lord Jesus.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 24th, 2012, at 1:00 pm at Elk Falls Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service at Campbell River Baptist Church at 2:00 pm.
