Joan suddenly left us from an illness we knew not of. Her passing was at Campbell River Hospital surrounded by her family.

Joan was predeceased by husband Rusty; parents Normand and Olive MacPhee; siblings Betty Moon, George MacPhee and son Michael.

Joan leaves behind siblings Marie Moyer, Norman, Malcolm (Pat) MacPhee and Margaret Daniels. Her children Norma (Fred) Gerl, Roger Lariguer, Lisa Bouzan (Chris M.) incl. Mario Tancon, grandchildren Angela (Jose) Flores, Chantelle (Davide), Siri, Ryan MacPhee, Trinity, Gabriel, Hanna, Izzie Savage, Kenneth (Tayna), Gregory (Janell), Michael (Emily M) Bouzan, incl. John Carrier. She also leaves many cousins nephews and nieces *Joanne Moon (Glenn M.), great-grandchildren, best friends Sheila B., Sharon M. and Joy B.

Joan was well known as a friendly outgoing, hardworking, generous person who always put others before herself. She loved and lived in Campbell River almost all her life. Beginning work at a café at a young age, raising family, working at a tree farm then retiring from fish processing. She loved fishing and was a famous icon at the Pier, reeling in many trophy sized fish. Joan was a classy, proud individual who loved to sing and dance, garden and crafting of all kinds. She had a great passion, spending many hours researching her genealogy. Her favorite of all was the joy she had with her grand and great- grandchildren. Joan will be missed by many as she was loved by many and will forever be in our hearts.

A gathering for Joan will be held next summer at the Pier. Date will later be announced.
