Jessie Ruby Allan
Died: January 4th, 2006
Born: Jessie Ruby Allan Pringle in Glasgow, Scotland October 28th, 1914. Jessie had four sisters and two brothers.
During World War 2 she met and married Joe Matwick, a Canadian soldier.
Jessie immigrated to Canada in September, 1946 where the family of four boys lived in Boundary Bay until moving to Ocean Falls in 1953.
In 1970 after the children had grown up, Jessie & Joe moved to the Kitimat/Terrace area where Joseph worked as a Carpenter in the Eurocan Paper mill.
Upon retirement, they moved to Duncan and later on to Nanaimo.
Jessie was predeceased by Joseph in August 2000.
Jessie is survived by her four sons: Raymond (Marie), Steve (Kathy), Alex (Sharon), Kenn (Bonnie), fifteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and her sister Eileen.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, January 11th at the Sands Funeral Chapel in Nanaimo.
A reception will follow at the Coast Bastion Inn.
