Jean Piere Joffre (Peter/Paul/Palo) Soucy, CWO (Retired), MMM CD2 was born in Ottawa, Ontario on November 29, 1933 and passed away in Campbell River, BC on January 12, 2018 with all five of his children plus other family members at his side.

Predeceased by his dearly beloved wife Natalie Delight (2009) and by his parents Ernest and Laura, and two brothers Jacques and Roger (Anna) of Ottawa. Also by his grandson Stevets, niece Lise, and nephew Richard.

Peter/Paul proudly served 37 years in the RCAF/CAF from 1951-1988 and was stationed coast to coast in Canada, and overseas including Germany and Bermuda. His last posting was at NDHQ Ottawa as a Career Manager, and lastly was transferred to DGAEM/AC as the Training Coordinator until his retirement in 1988.  He was also a Past Grand Knight, with the Knights of Columbus Council 6297 in 1976 while stationed at CFB Greenwood Nova Scotia.

Wherever he went Peter/Paul/Palo made friends easily. In his most recent years in Campbell River he has been adored by many for his excellent singing of Frank Sinatra songs at karaoke nights, his magic tricks, snooker skills, killer poker instinct with Joe's family (Cindy, Kim et al), his warmth, humour, and that special sparkle in his eyes. He loved his family, enjoyed people, derived peace from his faith, and took things in stride (including his illness). Peter/Paul/Palo will be deeply missed by many!

John 14:1, "Let your heart not be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me."

Come To Me

God saw you getting tired, and a  cure was not to be.

So He put His arms around you and whispered  "Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we watched you  and saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not  make you stay.

A golden heart  stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
