MCMULDROCH,

Jean

December 15, 1925 ~

January 25, 2005

Jean has passed away after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her loving husband Jack, daughter Nora, son David (Annie), granddaughters: Elissa Shalene, Kayla Lea, and Alice Portia. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Nan Reid (Bob) and Margaret Murray (Douglas) and many other loving relatives and friends. Jean was predeceased by her sister Janet (John) Lamb.

Jean was born and raised in Ayr, Scotland. During WWII she met Jack, a Canadian stationed in Scotland. After they married, and the war had ended, she immigrated to Canada as a war bride.

Jean lived in Campbell River since 1952. She was active in many groups: Hospital Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, Bridge club and the celebration of Robbie Burns Day. She worked several years at Willow Point Old & New until starting her successful business - Willow Point Jewellery.

Since retiring she spent many hours with her good friends, Carol and Helga, at garage sales, playing Bingo, also visiting Casinos and Pawn Shops. She was a fond collector of antiques and jewellery.

A special thank you to Dr. Douglas and the nurses of the second and third floors of the Campbell River & District Hospital and the staff of We Care. The family are grateful for the support of Bev and Bob Wattie and extended friends.

A Celebration of Jean’s Life will take place Saturday, February 5th, 2005 at 2:00p.m. in Sutton’s Funeral Chapel, 502 S. Dogwood St., Campbell River, BC.

If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Resource Centre, 1423B-16th Ave., Campbell River, BC, V9W 2E4 or the Campbell River & District Hospital Foundation.
