Jarl Olsen
Tragically passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010, at age 66.
He is survived by his loving wife Jytte of 18 years and the many special people in his life.
Jarl worked for the pulp mill in Port Alice for 40 years then retired in 2006 to Campbell River.
Jarl loved his Chinese food and he really enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a big bear of a man who was stubborn, opinionated and loving, who had a great love of Mexico. He was a social butterfly who spoke to everyone and made them feel at ease and cried at sad movies.
A celebration of his life will take place at 2pm on Saturday, June 26th at The Golf Club in Port Alice.
For those wishing, donations in Jarl’s memory may be made to the Port Alice Lion’s Club.
