In Loving Memory ~

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jared Richard Cook on December 27th at the age of 39.

Born and raised in Campbell River, Jared grew up as part of a close-knit family. His childhood was filled with sports trophies, pranks, and an instilled love for the outdoors.

A strong and skilled logger by trade, he enjoyed spending time in the bush surrounded by trees, lakes, and mountains. Jared had a deep appreciation for nature, his best days spent fishing, exploring new places to swim, or going for hikes with his closest family or friends.

He shared his interest in camping and hunting with his family, a recent fond memory being the successful elk hunt with his dad Rod, brother Joe, and wife Stephanie. His dog Chum was never far from his side on any outdoor adventure.

Jared was a gifted and captivating storyteller. He was able to convey his passions, recall tiny details, and incorporate his sense of humour with his booming voice and powerful laugh.

He is predeceased by his grandparents Nelson Cook, Beverly Cook, Joan and Walter Banner, and Aunt Julie Mann. His journey will continue through the memories and stories cherished by his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie, daughter Madison, parents Rod and Jill Cook, brother Joe (Megan) Cook, in-laws Nancy and Mark Ponting, Stephanie's sister and three brothers, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Feb 7th at 1:00pm at Eagles Hall in Campbell River.
