It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our wife, mother and Nana, Janette Mable Cook.
After a lengthy health battle, she passed away peacefully on March 13th. Jan is survived by her husband Chuck, daughter Annalisa and granddaughter Charlie.
As a young adult, Jan lived an exciting life hiding cigarettes in her majorette boots while majoretting for the BC Lions and working at Vancouver
General Hospital. Then she moved to Vancouver Island where she met Chuck. Together they had almost 50 fantastic years, and many overseas
adventures.
As a mom, Jan dedicated a million hours to
sewing sequins and really early morning commutes to the rinks. She was a large part of both the
Campbell River and Courtenay Skating Clubs. Jan put everything she had in to her family and extended her friendship to many over the years.
As a Nana her world revolved around spoiling
Charlie on day shopping trips and many fun
adventures. Charlie misses playing playdough with Nana at the kitchen table as well as her “Nana Cuddles”.
To the strongest woman you will ever know.
Rest in peace Mom, you may be gone but you will never be forgotten. We love you to the moon and back.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Campbell River Hospital for the support and understanding.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday May 17 at 871 Kalmar Road from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
