July 5, 1942 - August 6, 2020
It is with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Janet Worthing with her daughter by her side on August 6, 2020.
She was predeceased by her daughter Kerri and is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 57 years Glen Worthing, daughter Sherri Wheeldon (John), grandsons her pride and joy, Joel (Kyla) & Brock as well as her brothers John Clark & Ron Clark (Marie) and many nieces and nephews.
First & foremost Janet loved her family. She touched so many people, she was beautiful on the inside & outside, she was kind, generous & a great friend.
She will be remembered for her sweet little giggle, great sense of humour and sometimes being sassy & feisty.
Janet was strong & resilient. She suffered unbearable losses as a young woman and as time went on was faced with many health issues and illnesses. She fought hard but this last year took a toll on her.
We would like to thank her long time friend Lisa Moretto from the bottom of our hearts for always being there for her & especially this last year, we are so grateful.
Also a huge thank you to many of the Nurses & Care Aides at the Campbell River Hospital & New Horizons and a special thank you to Nurse Randi H. who was there for her last day on this earth, you made such a difference and it will never be forgotten.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us through this tough time, it is comforting to know that she is no longer in pain and at peace. We will cherish all of the memories and miss her and love her forever. Due to the COVID19 restrictions, there will not be a service at this time.
In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away; You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend,
But still you kept on fighting,
Until the very end.
God saw you getting tired
When a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me."
So when we saw you sleeping,
So peaceful, free from pain,
We could not wish you back,
To suffer that again.
