In loving memory ~

James "Jim" Palmer passed away peacefully on March 20 at the age of 74. He was a hardworking man with a playful spirit and a sharp sense of humor.

He loved working in the woods more than anything. He got his start alongside his father, James, and those early days in the forest were some of the most meaningful moments he ever experienced. He always spoke fondly about that period of his life.

He later became a fish buyer by trade, working long days supporting the fishing community. While fishing wasn't his greatest passion, it became special to him because he shared that work with both his father and his son, James.

In his later years, Jim returned to the woods in a new way—gathering and selling mushrooms and salal.

Jim's playful nature shone through in everything he did. He was a natural storyteller—famous for his tall tales. He didn't just live life—he added color & humor to it.

He is survived by his wife, Semona Palmer; daughter, Rochell Palmer; grandchildren Jessica, Christopher, Kaya, Sammy, and Chelsey; and his brother, Donald, and his wife; Gale.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing him.
