November 23, 1932– October 22, 2016

It is with deep sadness that the family of James H. Robson announces his sudden passing at the age of 83. Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret Ruth Robson, brother Donald (Jeanine), son Joey Robson, daughters Debra Cunningham (Edward) and Julie Robson (Rick). Survived by his grandchildren Christina Belanko (Chris) and Mary Vodden (Mark), grandsons Derek Ealey and Karson Kroetsch and great-grandsons Dayton, Curtis and Anthony Belanko. Predeceased by his parents Sarah Ann and James Edward Robson, brothers Bill and Ken Robson daughter Brenda Robson and grandson Kurtis Chubay.

James was a member in good standing with the Cement Mason & Plasterers’ Union Local 919 for over 66 years and served as Business Manager with OPCMIA Local 919 from 1988-2001. He will be most remembered for his solidarity and dedication to his fellow members. Jim helped complete many of BC's largest civil and industrial projects. He was active in the the BCYT Construction Trades and dedicated to fair wage negotiations. Jim was a man with a huge heart and an outstanding sense of humour. He was full of compassion. Jim loved the ocean and sports fishing. There are so many fond and wonderful memories that have been created amongst all that knew and loved him. Jim will be missed by all that had the opportunity to meet him.

A Celebration of Jim's life will be held November 26, 2016.We welcome you to join us all at the Maritime Heritage Center, 621 North Island Hwy, Campbell River from 1-3:30pm. Refreshments to follow.
