Ivan Cecil Schopp

Aug. 14, 1922 – December 23, 2010

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandather, great grandfather and friend. He left us after a brief but intense series of heart attacks. He was predeceased by his father, mother and two brothers. Leaving to mourn is wife Olive, sons Everett (Chi), Vern, Leonard (Diane), Robin (Lonnie), Wes (Angel), grand children Gavid (Jodi), Andrew (Kristen), Jennifer and great grandchildren Georgia, Calleigh and special friend Cathie.

He was born in Wadena Saskatchewan and served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. After the war he farmed and worked as an auto mechanic in Elfros Sask. moving to Saskatoon and later to Campbell River where he owned and operated Campbell River Esso. Upon retirement he moved to Victoria but returned to Campbell River five years ago to be near family.

He will be well remembered for his quick smile, helping hand, strong work ethic and honesty. His was a life well lived and he set an outstanding example for us to try to follow.

There will be no service by request.
