May 26, 1927 - May 6, 2018
It is with heavy hearts we must announce that Isabel Warner (nee lmlach) passed peacefully surrounded by  family and friends on May 6, 2018 in Campbell River at the age of 90.

Isabel was born on May 26, 1927 in Glasgow, Scotland to Alexander and Isabella lmlach. She married Dave Warner in 1949. Isabel worked at R S McColl and at the Creamola factory in Scotland. In 1964 the Warners immigrated to Canada with their two children David and Karen. Not long after arriving in Canada, Isabel joined the Caledonian Society, The Royal Canadian Legion #137 LA, the Legion Color Party, the Fraternal order of Eagles (REAC), and was a founding member of the Merry Widows.

Isabel worked at Delta Jewellers more than 20 years until her retirement in 1996.

She devoted the majority of her spare time to volunteering for any organizations such as the poppy fund, Canadian Cancer Society, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

She was best known for her role as "The Banana Lady". For 30+ years she delivered bananas and other treats every Wednesday to patients on the 2nd floor of the Campbell River General Hospital, Sunshine Lodge, and Yuculta Lodge.

Isabel is survived by her son Benny (Grace) and family, daughter Karen (Lorne), daughter-in-law Elinor, and grandchildren Adam and Shelby. She is predeceased by her husband Dave, son David, sisters Helen and Esther, and brothers Eric and Alex.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 9th at 1 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Campbell River.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Isabel's name to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
