On April 27, a feisty soul took flight. Iris died peacefully surrounded by her family. She was loved.
She passed a mere 13 days after the sudden loss of Robert Joeseph, her loving husband of 60 years.
Iris followed Robert from her childhood home in Prince George to many places throughout their colourful life together including, but not limited to Terrace, Sandspit, Comox, Invemere, Sayward, and Campbell River. It's only fitting that she joined him so soon on the next step of their journey together.
Iris is survived by her children, Richard, Janine, Robert Jr, Travis, Brett and Trisha. She was predeceased in 2000 by her son Art, whom she always believed she would see again. Iris leaves as her legacy 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
This tiny slip of a woman was a force to be reckoned with when it came to her children. She continues to live on in them in their love of music, and strong sense of independence.
