Connie was born in Weldon, Sask on august 7, 1912. She went to her heavenly home January 23, 2004.

She was predeceased by her parents Lovell and Sigrid Larson, her husband Gerrit (Jack) Bakker and her daughter Sharon Rushton (Bakker), sisters Lillian Graham, R. Gertrude Tatlow, Grace Jeffery and brother Louis Larson.

Will be lovingly missed by daughters Joy Holbrook, Ellen Portman, Carol Jost and son Jim Bakker, 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Frank Holbrook, Fred Portman, Mike Rushton & Lowell Jost, daughter-in-law Sonja Bakker, as well as many nieces, nephews, “adopted” sons and daughters, and dear friends.

Connie & Jack married in 1937 in Prince Albert, Sask. They lived in Weirdale, Meath Park & Canwood, before moving to Campbell River, BC., in 1948. From there they moved to Needles & then Nakusp. Jack died September 4, 1990. In 1993 Connie moved to Campbell River to be closer to her children. In the summer of 1999 she went to live in Ladysmith and 2001 moved into the Nanaimo Seniors Village. From there, early in the morning January 23 Connie went to the Nanaimo Hospital, was only there a couple of hours when her heart gave out and she peacefully went to be with her Lord and Saviour. Her ashes will be placed with her husband’s in Nakusp, BC.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Connie’s Life was held January 28, 2004 in Ladysmith, BC.
