Shirley passed away suddenly in Campbell River at the age of 76 years. She was predeceased by her husband; Vern, son; Cary and sister; Emma. Shirley is survived by her son; Wayne Laking (Shelly Kristianson) daughter; De Laking (Geordie) grandchildren; Christina, Cory, Candice and Bradshaw and niece; Ann Catton (Doug). A CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE will be held at THE MEMORIAL CHAPEL OF ELK FALLS CREMATORIUM, HIGHWAY #28 AT ELK FALLS MEMORIAL CEMETERY on Friday, February 20th, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. Donations in Shirley’s memory can be made to the Association for Community Living, 116 - 1180 Ironwood Road, Campbell River V9W 5P7 with appreciation.
