Born in London, England on January 6, 1906 and passed away peacefully in Powell River General Hospital on May 27, 2003 at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years George and her ever loving daughter Gene. She is survived by her son Michael (Juliet), of Williamsburg, Virginia. Also, she will be deeply missed by her 9 grandchildren, Doug (Lisa) Skinner, Dawn (Reg) Nordman, Gillian (Pat) McWhinney, Kevin (Robyn) Skinner, Michele (Maurice) Mast-Swanson, Angela (Graham) Whitney, Caroline (Scribner) Van Ingen, Belinda (Carl) Legere and Justin Kirby. Hilda affectionately known as “Nan” will also be greatly missed by 20 great grandchildren who all had the wonderful opportunity to know and admire her.
Our “Nan” touched everyone who met her and will live forever in our thoughts.
A Memorial Service was held at Subberfield Chapel, Powell River, BC, on May 29, 2003 to honour her.
