It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Herbert Alexander Holland known as Bert.
Bert was born in Salcoats, Saskatchewan on February 11, 1930. After serving 3 years in the military he migrated to BC in 1949 where he met his first wife Dorothy and started their family.
An entrepreneurial spirit, Bert worked in the logging industry before building his sawmill and working in the lumber business. Bert’s final passion was the development of Eagles Cove Estates.
Bert is predeceased by his son David Holland and his brothers John, George and Bill. He is survived by his children, Tim, Danny, Gerry, Theresa and Taunya, his sister Dorothy as well as his wife Glenna and her children, the mother of his children Dorothy Holland , 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Bert passed at 6am on January 16, 2017. There will be a service on Saturday January 21st at the Campbell River Kingdom Hall at 1935 Evergreen Road at 2:30 p.m.
