of Cumberland, formerly of Nanaimo passed away peacefully in St. Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, aged 77.

Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Beryl Morton, first wife Dorothy, second wife Vivi and their son Mark; Henry is survived by his sons Bobby (Leslie) Morton of campbell river and and Chris (Vickie) Morton of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia and by his daughter Carol-Ann(Rob) Ovans of Saltaire and by his grand-daughters Tanya, Tara and Lindsey and his great grandson Kaelan. Also survived by his sisters Audrey (Doug) Best and Dorothy Patty and many nieces and nephews.

Henry served in the Army during the war; retired from his sawmill career with Mayo Lumber Co., Nanaimo, and with Fields in Courtenay and C.R. Mill in campbell River. For many years he was a volunteer fire fighter with Wellington Fire Dept. and a Royal Canadian Legion Member all his life; recently with Cumberland. Henry loved his dogs and cats and outdoor activities and time with his family. Special thanks to all the staff on 2nd floor in St. Joseph’s Hospital and to Dr. R. Helmer and Dr. R. Engman.

A Celebration of Henry’s Life will be held on Wednesday, September 25th at 3:30p.m.. from the Chapel of COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 Ryan Road immediately followed by a reception at Cumberland Legion Hall.
