Went to be with our Lord on April 24, 2018.
Henry was born on July 22, 1935 in Rosthern, Saskatchewan to Abe Pankratz and Elizabeth Pankratz (nee Jansen).
Henry worked in the logging industry for many years. He enjoyed camping, fishing (boating) and taking his family on road trips. He loved spending time with family and friends.
After retirement, Henry and Elizabeth moved to Comox where they resided for over 20 years before recently moving into the Comox Valley Seniors Village.
Henry was loved dearly by his family and is survived by his wife Elizabeth, children Donald Pankratz, Ronald Pankratz (Gillian Stuart), Sharon Munroe (Jim Hadaway) and Donna Farwell (Scott Farwell).
He is also survived by his grandchildren Tara Bell (Warren Bell), Keith Munroe (Vanessa Munroe), Justin Pankratz, Duncan Munroe, Cory Pankratz, Ryan Munroe (Karmen Abrahams), Devin Farwell and Paige Farwell (Thomas Pederson) and great granddaughter, Madison Bell.
Henry was predeceased by both parents and daughter Wendy Lynn Pankratz.
Special thanks to the wonderful team of doctors and nurses at North Island Hospital for taking such good care of him.
A gathering will take place on Monday, May 7th at 12:00 pm at the Black Creek Cemetery with a service to follow at the Black Creek Mennonite Church.
