We are sad to announce the sudden passing of our 'Mom: 'Grandmother', Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend.
Helen was born in Vancouver, spent her childhood at the beach in Roberts Creek and moved to live in Campbell River in 1944. She worked at Painters Lodge and the Post Office in her teens. She was a long time member of T.O.P.S, K.O.P.S, Eastern Star and greatly enjoyed her volunteer work.
The arrival of a great granddaughter in 1998 made her not only a great grandmother but also a member of 5 generations of girls.
Predeceased by her parents, Rose and Bill Luoma, brother Robert, second husband Clarence Fulton, son Les, Clarence's son Merle, and Grandson Dino. She will be missed by brother Bruce, daughters Sandy (Rick), Doreen (Michael). Grandchildren: Lisa (Daryl), Jenelle (Abdul), Christopher
(Danielle). Great-Grandchildren Rachel, Jacob (Sojin), Matthew, Jimi, Tsehai, Malakai, Tyrese, and Jada Rose. Clarence's daughters: Anne (Brian), Joan, Gay (Dan). Grandchildren: Anne (Dana), Amy (Dwayne), Sara (Keith), Marco (Kelly), Carol (John), Debra (Rod), David (Sukh). Great-Grandchildren: Bianca, Ashley, Nicole, Holly, Nanki, Carson, Owen, Katelyn, Reese, Kenzie
and Sylas. Along with five Great-Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, cousins and many friends who are familiar with her walks to and from 'downtown' - (her favourite exercise).
Special thanks to the paramedics as well as the doctors and nurses at the Campbell River Hospital emergency for their kindness and efficiency.
There will be a celebration of life at the Masonic Lodge 2905 Island Highway in Campbell River on Sunday, February 3rd, 2019 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers - donations to a charity of your choice in her memory would be her wish or simply skip a rock in the water at the beach.
