Heinz Theo Munz was 89 years old and passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 17th.
Born March 1st 1930 in Heidelberg, Germany. Heinz immigrated to Canada with his wife, Gertrud and his two children in 1958 as a welder.
In 1968 he bough a gill netter fish boat and became a salmon fisherman. He and Gertrud spend many years up and down the coast. A life they loved very much.
When Gertrud passed in 2001, Heinz moved to the island and started to raise Alpacas until 2016. He spend the last years of his life retired at Berwick by the Sea in Campbell River.
He will be missed by his son Volker and his daughter Karin (and Paul) and all his grandchildren.
