May 8, 1952 - January 27, 2022
Heather passed away peacefully on Jan. 27th, with her husband, John, Fr. Jan and friend, Casey at her side. Heather was born in Moose Jaw, Sask., on May 8, 1952 and moved to B.C. with her mom, Mabel, in the 60's, settling in Campbell River, where she made many friends and enjoyed many activities.
She wore many hats throughout her life, but she was a hairdresser at heart. She loved her craft very much and owned several shops in town, including Mane Street Hair Salon on Ironwood.
She was a hard worker, a councillor, a mentor, a psychiatrist, a caregiver and much more. She loved to fish, to garden and travel and made many long-lasting friendships along the way.
In 1986 she met John, whom she spent many wonderful years with. Together they became caregivers for Trisha, Marty and Bryan, whom she loved very much. She and John moved to Belize for a short time, where they enjoyed their little house in Bullet Tree Falls.
She loved it there but had to return home after being diagnosed with cancer in 2016. She had many struggles in her final years and John stayed by her side caring for her.
Heather had many dear friendships, especially through her church, and was so very proud of John as he was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic faith in 2018. She wanted all her friends to know that she loved them and prayed for them daily.
Thank you to all the doctors and nurses and friends and family who ministered to her in her final days.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day."

A funeral Mass will be held in her honour at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church at 12:00 noon on Feb. 11, 2022.
May she be at peace
